As the Iraq debacle draws to its foreseen conclusion, the reality of free will and our respect for it becomes obvious once more. However limited real free will may be, the originator of our universe has committed himself and us to using it and respecting it. Democracy depends on responsible government and a willing electorate - neither can be forced upon a people. Now, as humanity slowly extricates itself from chaos, only mutual respect for each other will enable the great emerging nations of Asia and the ancient rivalries of the Middle East to unite in peaceful development of God's world in God's way. Patience and wisdom were necessary for our parents to bear and guide our free wills.
